JEROME TURNER - MARCEL RESEARCHER |
The MARCEL Network |
MARCEL is a permanent broadband interactive network and web site dedicated to experimentation and research across the fields of art, science, education, technology and industry. The network is made up of research centres, media labs, museums, arts organisations and arts practitioners who facilitate research, projects and collaborations which make use of high bandwidth networks - looking towards a future where fully interactive, virtual online experiences are as commonplace and user-friendly as today's relatively static internet. Take a look at the links below to find out more. Click here to find out more about the history and intentions of the MARCEL network. Click here for the MARCEL main site www.mmmarcel.org. |
Jerome Turner is the new MARCEL RESOURCES researcher |
Yes, that's me. As a researcher for the Resources department of the MARCEL web site, I am compiling information that will be relevant and integral to future MARCEL work. This information will be added to the MARCEL site in the form of a new, fully interactive Resources database, covering the twelve categories of Image, Sound, Profiles, Material Resources, Research, Education, Bibliography, Events, Directory, Archives, Funding and Newsletters. Click here to find out about my previous work as a freelance designer and writer. |
Your input |
The interests of MARCEL lie far and wide - from virtual reality to online training, multi-casting to interactive digital art, interface design to biotechnology... in fact anything involving art, science and education across a broadband network. I am constantly trawling the net for new information, but the internet is pretty big so this is where you come in. If you're involved in technology, projects, conferences, festivals, research or experimentation that are relevant to MARCEL, please get in touch - I'm interested to hear what you're doing. Or if you recently saw something and think I may have missed it, drop me a line. Also pass this URL on to anyone else who might be interested. Keep in mind the completed database will be available as a free resource to MARCEL members and the public alike - somewhere to find out about developments in your field, as well as sharing your own work. |
